Janette's Winter

This watercolor was inspired by my cousin Janette, who had posted images on her FaceBook account of a snow scene in Stonington Connecticut. I loved the softness of the scene and used it to paint this watercolor landscape.
I love painting with watercolors, and as you can see, i’m not very good at it, yet. Painting with watercolors is a whole different learning curve, and I guess it will be like everything else, practice, practice, and more practice.
I must say, I feel lucky to live in the Raleigh NC area. The climate is perfect for me. North Carolina will experience four seasons, winter being on the mild side with very few snow days.
