Celebrating the New Year in Raleigh with my first watercolor pet portrait. This is my beautiful Jessie! You can go back and look at my earlier attempt to paint Jessie’s pet portrait, and see the growth I'm having as I continue to paint.
This of course is a watercolor and what thrills me is how I'm now making the connection to watercolor painting. The process is very different from oil painting, and being a very detailed oriented oil painter, learning to paint loose has been a real challenge for me.
